Author’s BiographyMakenzy is the wife of Ty and the mother of two young children. She holds a master’s degree in speech-language pathology but spends most of her time as a stay-at-home mom, caring for her family. Rejoicing in the gospel of grace is a theme that has become very dear to her amid everyday life. EndorsementsIn today's society, the emphasis on practical traditionalism has eclipsed much of the foundation for the Christian life- to know the God of our salvation, Jesus Christ. I believe Makenzy recognized this need and paved the way for us ladies- through poetry and verse- to return to our roots of enjoying our Creator. This book is necessary, refreshing, and soul-deepening to read. — Emmalee Stanton, author, homemaker, and Instagram influencer @ChristlovingwifeMakenzy Clubb’s sets the glory of God’s character, the beauty of Christ’s person, and the wonders of the gospel into short, poigant, and memorable poems. They are gospel portions for the soul. Makenzy takes fundamental and familiar truths that are vital for Christian living and sets them on fire through the medium of poetry. As a pastor, I warmly commend this book. May it be a balm to the church as we travel as Pilgrims in this foreign land.— John Sweat Jr., Pastor of Heritage Reformed Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Georgia.Oh, the making of much devotional literature, there is no end. So why would we commend Makenzy Clubb's work here? I’m so glad you asked! We commend her work because while many of today’s Christian books are untethered from sound Christology and Christ’s church, her work remains appropriately tethered. We commend her work because it is gospel-centered without at all reducing the content of God’s robust gospel. So much Christian literature for women is written only for the emotions. In contrast, this devotional engages the life of the mind and offers the reader the real prospect of soul-penetrating reflection. This work warns the wayward and encourages the weary, all the while remaining immensely practical. For example, Clubb’s poems reflect on perennially practical themes such as starting a new year, being a new mother, and engaging in everyday new covenant responsibilities. Each brief poem ends with the opportunity to directly interact with a biblical text. This resource is…Concise. Apt. Commendable. Take up and read!— Matt & Melissa Watson of Mt.
